'Sup Girl
Wednesday, March 11, 2009 - Women's History Month Celebration, Week 1
This needs no explaining ... March is Women's History Month. We love the ladies. Therefore, we play only female artists all month. Two and two, y'know? I have to shout out this amazing box set Johnny and I dug up called The Blues Women Anthology ... it's a whopping nine discs, featuring all the classic ladies you know, some you don't, some from here, some from there. It's great, so all selections are from that unless otherwise noted.
Also, I have to give a shout to our boy Jason from StoneRider (who we've all come to know and love here at the 'Roads) for offering us our first official Crossroads-specific drop. We can't officially give our opinions about bands on the air, but I personally love the music these dudes make, and you as ATLiens are all fortunate - they're locals. Check their site and GO SEE THEM LIVE. If you don't like their music, well, to be honest ... you're tuning in to the wrong show.
Here's the set.
